It is the precision shaping of metal materials by mechanical cutting that is achieved in grinding machine tools, with the help of cutting tools, which have an indefinite number of cutting tips and an indefinite geometric shape.

The advantages are:

1.After machining, the work acquires great shape accuracy, dimensions.
2. Very high degree of smoothness of work surfaces (0.02 –10mm).
3. By grinding very hard metal materials can be processed, which have been heat treated (total, surface hardening)
